About Us
About Our League
a better way to play
Pasadena Flag Football was founded on a simple belief: youth sports should be competitive, positive, and accessible to every kid who wants to play.
We're building a league where players can develop their skills, compete with confidence, and experience the excitement of football in an environment that puts kids first. Where competition is meaningful, fairness matters, and the joy of playing is never lost in the pursuit of winning.
That means positive coaching, organized competition, meaningful recognition, and a commitment to creating an experience that's as fun and rewarding as it is competitive. We want kids to look forward to game day, parents to enjoy being part of the experience, and families to build lasting connections along the way.
And because we believe opportunity shouldn't depend on a family's finances, we're committed to helping remove financial barriers to participation.
Pasadena Flag Football is a program of Brick by Brick Athletics, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to sports, fitness, and opportunities that help young people thrive. Led by Commissioner Joe "The Future" Hanks, a former professional athlete, founder of Pasadena's Brick City Boxing, and longtime community leader, the league builds on a shared commitment to helping young people develop confidence, character, and a love of sports. Together, we're working to make sure more kids have the chance to get in the game, regardless of their financial circumstances.
We're here to build more than teams. We're here to bring the fun back to youth sports and create something Pasadena-area families can be proud to call their own.
OUR MISSION
To give every child the opportunity to play, compete, grow, and belong while creating an experience so positive, fair, and fun that kids and families can't wait to come back.
Our Vision
To build Pasadena's premier youth flag football community, where competitive play and a love of the game go hand in hand.
Our Values
Sportsmanship. Opportunity. Teamwork. Community. We believe how kids play matters just as much as the final score.
